Business Card for: Visual Dialogue

The idea for the die-cut rectangle was inspired by the name of the company: “visual” communications pieces (whether print or online) provide a “dialogue” between the sender and the receiver of a message–often a client and their audience. The open card is a metaphor for the process in which the messages are transmitted through designed objects. The die-cut area also acts as framing device for the world around us–by defining and calling attention what’s seen through the “window” we are better able to focus on whatever is highlighted.

The card is letterpress printed in black and metallic gold on a heavy stock—Starwhite Tiara Vellum, double thick 130 lb. cover.

The cards were letterpress printed at EM Letterpress (www.emletterpress.com).

The cards always seem to get a great response when handed out, usually held up to a recipient’s eye to take a look through the “view finder.”
