Since you use the cardboard look, have you considered using actual cardboard for your cards? I have seen companies actually use a card puncher on cardboard boxes and a custom stamp to create handmade cards that resemble this.
The only downsides are: 1) time/effort to make, and 2) finding thin cardboard so people hold onto them easily.
The upsides are great since it is extremely unique/memorable and sustainable.
